1. Scope & Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Clients using GymBud to discover or purchase fitness services
  • Coaches using GymBud to offer and manage fitness services
  • Visitors to the GymBud website or applications

GymBud is intended for users aged 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information you provide, including:

  • Account information (name, email, password)
  • Profile details (photo, bio, preferences)
  • Fitness-related information (workout logs, training history, goals)
  • Messages and communications between Clients and Coaches
  • Customer support inquiries

B. Coach-Provided Client Data

Coaches may input or manage client-related data (e.g., training programs, progress notes) with client authorization.

C. Payment Information

GymBud does not store credit card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe Connect. We receive limited payment-related metadata such as:

  • Transaction IDs
  • Subscription status
  • Payout status

D. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address
  • Usage data (pages viewed, actions taken)
  • Log data and diagnostics

3. Fitness Data Is Not Medical Data

GymBud collects fitness and activity data, not medical records. We do not:

  • Provide medical services
  • Diagnose conditions
  • Monitor health vitals
  • Act as a healthcare provider

Fitness data is entered voluntarily by users or Coaches and is used solely for training and platform functionality.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Operate and maintain the Platform
  • Facilitate marketplace transactions
  • Enable communication between Clients and Coaches
  • Process payments and subscriptions
  • Improve features and user experience
  • Provide customer support
  • Ensure safety, security, and legal compliance

We do not sell personal data.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share information with:

A. Coaches

Client data is shared only with the Coach selected by the Client.

B. Service Providers

  • Stripe (payments)
  • Hosting, analytics, and infrastructure providers
  • Customer support tools

C. Legal & Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if required to:

  • Comply with law or legal process
  • Enforce our Terms of Service
  • Protect rights, safety, or property

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. However, no system is 100% secure. You use the Platform at your own risk.
